In which year was the General Clauses Act enacted?
Answer: A
The General Clauses Act was enacted in 1897.
It supplies definitions and rules of construction that apply to every Central Act unless the Act itself says otherwise - for example what "person", "month" and "shall" mean, and how a repeal affects things already done.
