On which date Vimukta Jati (Denotified Tribes) Day is celebrated in Madhya Pradesh ?
Answer: A
Vimukta Jati Day is celebrated on 31 August.
Under the colonial Criminal Tribes Act, many communities were labelled 'criminal tribes'. The Act was repealed on 31 August 1952, and the communities were 'denotified', which is why they are called Vimukta Jatis (denotified tribes). Madhya Pradesh observes 31 August each year as Vimukta Jati Divas to mark that day.
15 July, 15 September and 21 March have no connection with the repeal, so they are wrong.
