The Planning Commission of India was replaced by NITI Aayog in the year
Answer: C
The Planning Commission was replaced by NITI Aayog in 2015.
The government announced the change in 2014, and the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog was formally constituted on 1 January 2015 as a policy think-tank, with the Prime Minister as chairperson.
2014 is the trap, as the decision to wind up the Planning Commission was announced that August, but NITI Aayog itself came into being in 2015. 2012 and 2016 are not linked to the change.
