Which place does India hold in milk production?

India ranks first in milk production.
It produces around a fifth of the world's milk, having overtaken the United States in the late 1990s. The achievement is Operation Flood's: output rose from about 20 million tonnes in 1970 to over 200 million today, largely from smallholders with one or two animals.
