Which of the following is not viewed as a national debt ?
Answer: A
Life insurance policies are not national debt.
They are liabilities of the insurer to the policyholder. Provident fund balances, national savings certificates and long-term government bonds are all sums the government has borrowed and must repay, and so form part of the national debt.
