The Mewar Sugar Mills was set up at Bhupalsagar.
Established in 1932 at Bhupalsagar in present-day Chittorgarh district, the Mewar Sugar Mills was the first sugar mill in Rajasthan, set up in the private sector in the princely state of Mewar.
Bhilwara is known for its textile industry, Beawar for its old cotton and wool trade, and Kishangarh for marble and its miniature painting school. None of them was the site of the Mewar Sugar Mills.
