Which is known as thunder cloud?

The cumulonimbus is the thundercloud.
It grows vertically from near the ground to the tropopause, sometimes 12 km or more, spreading into an anvil at the top where it meets the stable stratosphere. Its violent updraughts separate charge, producing lightning, hail and heavy rain.
