Which state has the highest literacy rate in India? (Based on 2011 census data)
Answer: C
In the census of 2011 Kerala had the highest literacy rate among the states of India, about 94 per cent, followed by states such as Mizoram and Tripura among the larger ones. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka had literacy rates well below that of Kerala. Bihar had the lowest literacy rate. The answer is Kerala, option C.
