Answer: B
India's first metro rail service was opened in Calcutta (Kolkata) in October 1984, on the north south line between Esplanade and Bhowanipore (now Netaji Bhavan), a stretch of about 3.4 km. The Delhi Metro opened in 2002, the Kochi Metro in 2017 and the Mumbai Metro in 2014, so they came later. The answer is Calcutta, option B.
