NISSAT initiated a project for a Knowledge Network using local language. This is known as :

The local-language knowledge network is Honeybee.
The Honey Bee Network links grassroots innovators, farmers, scientists and policy makers, collects innovations and traditional knowledge from villages and shares it back with the communities in their own languages through local-language newsletters and databases. Like a honeybee pollinating flowers, it carries knowledge between people, and crediting the source in their own language is its founding principle. The paper credits it to NISSAT support.
Gyandarshan is an educational television channel, NIC is the National Informatics Centre that runs government computer networks, and 'Grassroot' describes the network's users rather than its name.
