'AERADE' is a ............
Answer: A
AERADE is a gateway for Aerospace and Defence.
AERADE was a subject gateway built by Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. It offered a quality-controlled, catalogued list of links to internet resources in aerospace and defence, with descriptions, rather than holding the documents itself.
A database stores records of its own, an indexing service indexes the articles of journals, and a library holds a collection. AERADE did none of these; it pointed users to evaluated resources elsewhere, which is what a gateway does.
