INFOMINE is a Virtual Library of Internet Resources.
INFOMINE was built by librarians at the University of California, Riverside, as a virtual library of scholarly internet resources. Librarians selected and described useful web sites, databases, e-journals and other sources for university-level teaching and research, so that users could search a quality-controlled collection rather than the open web.
It was not a search engine, which indexes the web automatically and without selection; not a single database of articles; and not a catalogue of a library's own holdings.
