DOAJ is an Open access database.
The Directory of Open Access Journals, launched in 2003 at Lund University in Sweden, is a community-curated online directory that indexes and gives access to quality, peer-reviewed open access journals. Anyone can search it and read the indexed journals free of charge.
It is not a commercial database sold by subscription, such as Scopus. It is not a citation database, which records who cites whom, as the Web of Science does. And it is not a numerical database of statistical data.
