These devices provide a means of communication between a computer and outer world.
Answer: A
Correct answer: I/O
Input and output devices are the interface between the machine and everything outside it - users, other machines, and the physical world.
Without them a computer could compute but neither receive a problem nor report an answer. They are also called peripherals, because they surround the processor and memory rather than forming part of them. Storage devices are a special case, communicating with the machine's own long-term memory rather than with the world.
