Which country recently became a partner state of the BRICS group (2025) ?
Answer: A
The country is Nigeria.
Brazil, holding the BRICS chair, announced in January 2025 that Nigeria had become a BRICS partner country, joining the partner category created at the Kazan summit in 2024.
Iran became a full member in 2024, so it is not a partner state. Saudi Arabia was invited to become a member, and Argentina declined its invitation to join in 2023, so neither became a partner in 2025.
