Which of the following devices works at the network layer of the ISO-OSI reference model?
Answer: B
A router works at the network layer of the ISO-OSI model, forwarding packets between networks using IP addresses. A hub, an amplifier and a repeater are devices of the physical layer, which only pass on or strengthen the electrical or optical signal, so they are wrong. Routers forward packets by looking at the network (IP) address, while hubs and repeaters work only on bits and know nothing of addresses.
