When was the game Frisbee invented?

It goes back to the 1870s.
Students at Yale threw the empty pie tins of the Frisbie Baking Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, calling out the name as a warning. Walter Morrison made a plastic version in 1948, and Wham-O adopted the old name in 1958.
