Who Invented Worldwide Standard Time Zones ?
Answer: D
Sir Sandford Fleming proposed them.
The Scottish-Canadian engineer, having missed a train in Ireland through a printed timetable's ambiguity, proposed in 1879 dividing the world into twenty-four zones an hour apart. The system was adopted at the International Meridian Conference in 1884.
