A rectangular block 80 by 60 by 40 mm drawn in isometric has an enclosing box whose vertical edge measures
Answer: B
Correct answer: 40 mm
In an isometric drawing every edge parallel to an isometric axis is set out at its true length, so the enclosing box carries 80, 60 and 40 mm on the three axes and the vertical edge is 40 mm. The box is drawn first and the object developed within it, which is the standard method for anything whose faces are not all rectangular.
