What will be the output of the program?
public class Sample01
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
String s = "java";
s.concat(" lang");
System.out.println(s);
}
}
Answer: A
String is immutable, so concat returns a new String and leaves the original untouched. The returned value is discarded here because it is never assigned, so s still refers to java. Assigning the result back, s = s.concat(" lang");, is what the author intended.
