The ratio of angular speeds of the minute hand and second hand of a watch is
Answer: C
The ratio is 1 : 60.
The minute hand turns once in 60 minutes (3600 s) and the second hand once in 60 s. Angular speed is \(\omega = \frac{2\pi}{T}\), so
\[ \begin{aligned} \frac{\omega_{m}}{\omega_{s}} &= \frac{T_{s}}{T_{m}} \\ &= \frac{60}{3600} = \frac{1}{60} \end{aligned} \]
60 : 1 inverts the ratio, and 1 : 12 compares the minute hand with the hour hand.
