What ambiguity does multiple inheritance with defaults create?
Answer: B
The classic example makes Nixon a Quaker and a Republican, one supplying a default of pacifist and the other of non-pacifist, with nothing in the representation to adjudicate. Skeptical readings refuse to conclude either, credulous ones pick a consistent extension. Circularity, misplacement and counting are different issues. A representation that admits two equally good conclusions must decide whether to choose or to abstain, and the choice is a design decision rather than a technical one.
