Which genre conveys information grounded in real life or facts?
Answer: C
Non-fiction is the genre that conveys information grounded in real life or facts. It covers history, biography, essays, reports and similar writing, in which the content is meant to be true.
Fiction is invented by the writer and is not bound to fact. An autobiography is only one kind of non-fiction, so it is too narrow an answer for the whole genre. Prose is a form of language, as against verse, and both fiction and non-fiction can be written in prose, so it does not mark out writing about real facts.
