If the area under the graph between the force on an object and time is 20 units, then the object experiences
Answer: C
The object experiences an impulse of 20 units.
The area under a force-time graph is the integral of F dt, which is the impulse. By the impulse-momentum theorem it also equals the change in momentum, 20 units.
So both 'impulse of 10' and 'change of momentum of 10' halve the value, and the area says nothing about a change in force or in acceleration. In SI units the impulse is measured in N s, the same unit as momentum (kg m/s).
