Which one of the statement is incorrect in the context of determinants of attention ?
Answer: D
The incorrect statement is that too much repetition of a stimulus captures our attention. In fact repetition of the same stimulus makes people get used to it and the attention falls, which is called habituation.
The other three statements are correct: not all stimuli bring the same attention, novelty helps in securing attention, and a moving stimulus is noticed quickly.
