Which of the following skill is not actively practiced in the process of 'reciprocal teaching' ?
Answer: A
The skill not practised is Memorizing.
Reciprocal teaching (Palincsar and Brown) is a structured dialogue about a text in which the teacher and students take turns leading. It trains four comprehension strategies: predicting what comes next, questioning, clarifying difficult words or ideas, and summarising.
Predicting, questioning and clarifying are therefore all actively practised. Memorising the text is not one of the strategies, since the method aims at understanding rather than recall.
