Karnataka enacted its Public Library Act in 1965.
The Karnataka (then Mysore) Public Libraries Act was passed in 1965, making it one of the early state library laws in India, after Madras (1948) and Andhra Pradesh (1960) and before Maharashtra (1967).
1962, 1963 and 1968 are not the year of the Karnataka Act.
