The word "Canonical" means :
Answer: D
'Canonical' means Well-established.
Canonical describes what belongs to a canon: a body of texts, rules or works accepted as authoritative and standard. The 'canonical texts' of a religion or school are its accepted, established scriptures, as the Upanishads, the Gita and the Brahma Sutras are for Vedanta.
The other options point the wrong way. Trend setting and path-breaking describe something new that starts a direction, and rule-breaking describes defying the norm, whereas canonical means sanctioned by long acceptance.
