2. Too aggressive a check can remove healthy backends under load.
3. A check that always returns success is adequate.
Answer: D
The first two are correct and describe the balance to be struck. The third is exactly the failure mode, since such a check will happily route traffic to a broken backend. Depth of check and cost of check pull against each other and must be balanced.
