An aircraft stalling at \( 60 \) m/s level is banked until the load factor reaches \( 2 \). Its stalling speed becomes
Answer: B
Stalling speed rises with the square root of the load factor, so \( 60 \times \sqrt{2} = 60 \times 1.414 = 84.9 \) m/s. A forty per cent rise for a sixty-degree bank is why accelerated stalls catch pilots out in steep turns near the ground.
