What is the output of a 2-input AND gate if the inputes are A = 1, B = 0?
Answer: B
The output is 0.
An AND gate outputs 1 only when all its inputs are 1. With A = 1 and B = 0, one input is 0, so the output is 0 (\(1 \cdot 0 = 0\)).
1 would be the output of an OR gate, '10' is not a single-bit output, and a logic gate's output is always defined for valid inputs.
The AND gate behaves like multiplication of bits, so its output is 1 only for the input pair 1, 1.
