If, 1*2= 1,
2*3= 1 and
3*4= 5, Then find the value of 7*9= ?
Answer: A
Correct answer: -47
The rule is \( a * b = a + b - ab \): \( 1+2-2 = 1 \), \( 2+3-6 = -1 \) and \( 3+4-12 = -5 \). So \[ 7 * 9 = 7 + 9 - 63 = \mathbf{-47} \]
