Which instrument is commonly used to measure atmospheric pressure ?
Answer: B
Atmospheric pressure is measured with a barometer.
A mercury barometer balances the weight of a column of mercury (about 760 mm at sea level) against the pressure of the air. An aneroid barometer uses a sealed, partly evacuated metal capsule that flexes as the pressure changes.
A tachometer (spelt 'Tacometer' in the paper) measures the speed of rotation of a shaft. A thermometer measures temperature. An anemometer measures wind speed. Only the barometer measures pressure.
