Individual control words in a micro-programmed control unit is known as :
Answer: D
Each control word is called a Micro-instruction.
In a micro-programmed control unit, the control signals for one step are stored as a word in control memory; each such control word is a micro-instruction. A sequence of micro-instructions forms a micro-program, and the group of micro-instructions that carries out one machine instruction is a micro-routine.
So micro-routine and micro-program describe collections of control words, not individual ones, and 'micro-word' is not the standard term.
