Indian nationalist characterised British conquest of India as "Everlasting, increasing, everyday increasing foreign invasion"
Answer: B
The nationalist was Dadabhai Naoroji ('Dada Bai Naorojee' in the paper).
In his writings on the drain of wealth, collected in Poverty and Un-British Rule in India (1901), Naoroji argued that British rule was worse than the old invasions: earlier invaders plundered and left, but the British drain was an everlasting, ever-increasing foreign invasion that took India's wealth year after year.
Romesh Chunder Dutt also wrote on the drain in his Economic History of India, but the phrase is Naoroji's. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee was a novelist, and Surendranath Banerjee is known for the Indian Association and his political speeches.
