Tropical Easterly Jet stream is :
Answer: D
The Tropical Easterly Jet is present during summer monsoon season over SE Asia and India.
The TEJ is a strong easterly current at about 100 to 150 hPa (14 to 16 km). It forms in June to September above the Tibetan high, which is heated by the summer plateau, and blows from SE Asia across peninsular India towards Africa, with peak speeds near 15°N.
It is seasonal, so 'throughout the year' is wrong. It lies over the tropics, not the subtropics, and does not occur in the northern winter, when the subtropical westerly jet dominates over India instead.
