In Excel, which symbol is used to start a formula ?
Answer: B
A formula in Excel starts with the = symbol.
Typing = at the start of a cell tells Excel that what follows is a formula to calculate, such as =A1+B1 or =SUM(A1:A10), rather than text or a number to store as typed.
$ is used inside a formula to make a cell reference absolute ($A$1), not to start one. # appears in error values such as #DIV/0!, and @ has a special use in newer Excel for implicit intersection; neither begins a formula.
