Correct answer: Open the diagram gallery from the drawing toolbar and choose a diagram type
The Drawing toolbar carries an Insert Diagram or Organization Chart button that opens the Diagram Gallery - organisation chart, cycle, radial, pyramid, Venn and target. Choosing one drops a ready-made, editable diagram onto the slide. Drawing it from AutoShapes works but is slow, and the Chart command produces a data chart instead.
