The Citizen of the World is written by ..................... .
Answer: D
The Citizen of the World was written by Oliver Goldsmith.
Goldsmith's series of letters, first published in a periodical in 1760-61 and collected in 1762, purports to be written by a Chinese philosopher, Lien Chi Altangi, visiting London. The outsider's view lets Goldsmith satirise English manners and society.
Samuel Johnson wrote Rasselas and The Rambler, Thomas Nashe The Unfortunate Traveller, and Edward Gibbon The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.
