In a college there are 150 students, the ratio of male to female student is 1 : 5. Saranya is a girl who stands 22nd from the top of that row and 5 girls are in front of her then how many are girls are behind her?

There are 119 girls behind her.
With 150 students in the ratio 1 : 5, there are 25 boys and 125 girls. Saranya has 5 girls in front of her, and she herself is a girl:
\[ 125 - 5 - 1 = 119 \]
Her overall position (22nd) is not needed, since only girls are counted. 145 counts every student except the 5 girls in front, and 150 is the whole class; 109 does not follow from the counts.
