Four friends - Suresh, Fathima, Vijay and Maria have different heights. Fathima is shorter than Vijay. The only person shorter than Suresh is Maria. Who among them is highest ?

The tallest is Vijay.
Only Maria is shorter than Suresh, so Maria is the shortest and Suresh is second shortest. That leaves Fathima and Vijay as the two tallest, and since Fathima is shorter than Vijay, Vijay is the tallest.
The order from shortest is Maria, Suresh, Fathima, Vijay. Suresh and Maria are near the bottom, and Fathima is shorter than Vijay, so none of them can be the tallest.
