3, 7, 13, 19, 29, ?
Answer: D
The next number is 37.
The terms are prime numbers, taking every second prime: the primes run 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37. After 29 the next prime is 31, which is skipped, and the one after that is 37.
31 is the trap, the very next prime, but the series skips one prime each time. 35 and 39 are not prime at all.
