What will be the output of the program?
import java.util.*;
public class Snippet16
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
List<Integer> l = new ArrayList<Integer>();
l.add(127); l.add(127);
System.out.println(
(l.get(0) == l.get(1)) + " " + l.get(0).equals(l.get(1)));
}
}
Answer: D
Autoboxing an int between -128 and 127 is required to return a cached Integer, so both entries reference the same object and the identity test is true. equals compares the values and is also true. The same code with 128 gives false for the first test.
