What will be the output of the program?
import java.util.*;
public class Snippet26
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
Set<String> a = new HashSet<String>(
Arrays.asList("x", "y"));
Set<String> b = new LinkedHashSet<String>(
Arrays.asList("y", "x"));
System.out.println(a.equals(b));
}
}
Answer: B
Set equality asks only whether the two sets contain the same elements, so order is irrelevant and the different implementation classes do not matter either. Both hold x and y, so the result is true. This is exactly where Set and List part company.
