Find the odd man out. 8, 27, 64, 100, 125, 216, 343
Answer: B
Each number is a perfect cube.
\[ 8 = 2^{3},\; 27 = 3^{3},\; 64 = 4^{3},\; 125 = 5^{3},\; 216 = 6^{3},\; 343 = 7^{3} \]
\[ 100 = 10^{2} \text{, a square but not a cube} \]
So 100 breaks the pattern. It sits between \( 4^{3} = 64 \) and \( 5^{3} = 125 \), which is exactly why it looks plausible.
