In each three-digit number, the middle digit is the sum of the outer two.
- 396: \( 3 + 6 = 9 \) ✓
- 462: \( 4 + 2 = 6 \) ✓
- 572: \( 5 + 2 = 7 \) ✓
- 671: \( 6 + 1 = 7 \) ✓
- 264: \( 2 + 4 = 6 \) ✓
