Grape needs the most man-days per hectare. A vineyard needs repeated pruning, training, tying, bunch thinning, spraying and hand harvesting through the year.
Aonla, ber and custard apple are hardy orchard fruits with much lighter labour needs.
Grape needs the most labour per hectare among the options because pruning, training on a bower or trellis, bunch thinning and harvesting must all be done by hand. Aonla, ber and custard apple need far less.
