If the frequency of a simple pendulum is 2 Hz, how many oscillations will it complete in 16 seconds?
Answer: C
The pendulum completes 32 oscillations.
Frequency is the number of oscillations per second, so a frequency of 2 Hz means 2 oscillations every second:
\[ 2\ \text{s}^{-1} \times 16\ \text{s} = 32 \]
8 is what you get by dividing 16 by 2, as if 2 Hz were the time period of 2 seconds. 16 ignores the frequency and 64 doubles the correct answer.
