State whether the following is true or false.
A larger span indicates a narrower particle size distribution.
Answer: B
Span is the normalised width, so a larger value means a broader distribution. A monosized powder would approach a span of zero, though no real powder comes close to that. Even a carefully classified powder retains some spread.
