The full form of NPPA

NPPA stands for The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority.
The NPPA was set up in 1997 under the Department of Pharmaceuticals (Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers). It fixes and revises the ceiling prices of scheduled drugs, enforces the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, monitors the prices of other medicines and recovers overcharged amounts from companies.
The other expansions, with 'Pharmacy', 'Policy' or 'Pharma ... of drug', are near-misses of the official name.
